Jeep unveiled its concept vehicles a just in time for the annual Easter Jeep Safari and this particular one is just beautiful. We want one now.
This concept is a recreation of the 70’s era Jeep Cherokee Chief. The attention to detail and true to style reproduction of the front end is wonderful. Combine that to a perfect color combination, sweet wheels, and a “french bread” roof this is drool worthy.
This Jeep is essentially a four door Wrangler JK Rubicon featuring Dana 44’s on both ends and Rubicon side rock rails. Power is a standard Pentastar V6 and 6 speed manual transmission. A 2″ lift with Fox shocks allows the 35″ BFG Mud Terrains on custom retro aluminum slots to fit perfectly.
The windshield and roof were chopped 2″. The Hawaiian tiki inspired interior features custom colors, trim, and seats. The UConnect 8.4″ touch media center sits in the middle. In addition a custom roll bar seems to just belong there.
The attention to detail like the wood lined trunk area and retro stickers just add to the coolness of this Jeep.
Compare old to new…
It’s a shame Jeep rarely produces a concept. Jeep unveiled several other concepts..most of which are just kind of uninteresting.
