Air Grease
Gun
 An
air powered grease gun is a pneumatic tool used to inject
grease into a grease nipple by air force. Objects
commonly greasable on Jeep are ball joints, driveshafts, cv
joints, and suspension components. Many of the newer
Jeeps are equipped with non-serviceable joints. These
components can quickly wear out when exposed to the harsh
conditions on the trail. There are several aftermarket
companies that manufacture and sell serviceable
replacements.

 Grease
guns can be fitted with various attachments (shown
below and right) to serve different types of grease
fittings, such as a grease needle and bearing
packer. There are several flexible hose
attachments that make reaching tight spaces easier.

Recommendation
Every Jeeper's
garage should be outfitted with an air powered grease gun.
Keeping a hand operated as a backup is wise too. Small
hand operated guns are a good item to carry in your tool box
on the trail.
