Precision Products Xtreme Steering Rods
The original CJ
steering rods are thin walled round tubing with threaded
ends. The rods are prone to bending under the pressure
of large tires against unmovable objects. They are
also easily damaged due to the stock location of the
steering rods on Jeep vehicles.
SRC
Precision Products Xtreme Steering Rods are available in
1.125 and 1.375 inch thicknesses. The rods are also
available in custom widths and can accommodate tie rod ends
or Heim joints.
These rods are
the perfect compliment to a
CJ Tie Rod Flip Kit by Rock
Equipment. These rods have been installed on the Jeep
for 2 years now and have some marks from coming into contact
with trail obstacles but have not bent, dented, or deformed.
The rods came powder coated and the rod ends fit well into
the threads. These rods also use a jam nut to secure
the rod instead of the clamps that were used in stock CJs.
