It’s no secret we have a soft spot for CJ’s..especially Mike and his obsession with the 74 CJ-5 Renegade. While at the 2014 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival we spotted this Jeep and Mike was out of service for at lease a half hour and almost needed to be forcibly removed from the Jeep. Anyway, this 74 Renegade is in near perfect restored condition.
The Jeep’s restoration was meticulous. It was a total frame up restore which included a new steel tub corrected by Willys-Overland. The original 304 V8 was given an overhaul and some performance goodies were added. An Edelbrock 4bbl intake, Holley 4bbl carb, HEI ignition, and Heddman fenderwell headers top the list of engine mods.
The 35×12.50 BFG All-Terrain tires are mounted to 15×10 Jackman Wheels. The factory (modified) Renegade decaling was from Golden Eagle Decals.
The interior is flawless and tastefully done, all the factory controls and instruments are in place.
What a beautiful Jeep..
