For about 20 years off road racing was held at Stewart Hermany’s farm near Wanamakers, PA and hosted by the EC4WDA 4 Wheel Drive Trailblazers. The location was unique and offered three kinds of competitive events. Flat drags, obstacle course, and a hill climb.
Well known to competitors was the challenges the Wanamakers race had. The drag strip had an extremely short shut down area, the hill climb was steep, rocky, curvy, and down right nasty. The obstacle consisted of deep water holes and tight quarters.
The Blue Mountain 4 Wheel O’Rama featured night drags and ample camping areas. The location was often the host of the annual Region B Benefit Race.
