The JL has a thicker section of body in the door opening than any Jeep Wrangler or CJ prior to this model. This section is especially vulnerable to paint damage and such so covering it up seems like a no-brainer.
There’s a few options available and we chose the Quadratec ones due to the wider size of the guards which will only provide better protection. These guards take a few minutes to install and require no tools. Cleaning the area prior to sticking on the guards will ensure that they stick for good.
Once the area is cleaned well, peel off the stick strips and carefully locate the guards so they are properly in place.
These guards do a nice job of protecting the lip which is most likely to get hit when entering or exiting the Jeep. Nice product, easy install.
