Keeping with the retro theme the below picture was taken by a reader in 1976.
The picture was taken at a local AMC/Jeep dealer. The two brand new Jeeps pictured are a green 1976 CJ-7 with a soft top and a blue Jeep J1000 truck.
The standard CJ-7 came equipped with a 258 6cyl engine and a 3 speed transmission. Options included a 304 V8 and an automatic transmission. The 1st year for Jeep to offer an automatic in the CJ series.
